Verbal Gerbil

Marcus- 22mos.
This little guy is talking. I don't mean he's saying one word and then another seperate word. He's full on talking. Here's some of the funny things he's said lately:
I was in the shower and he was watching Baby Einstein's on the couch.
All of a sudden he comes in the bathroom and says
"Mom! Phone's ringin!"
I thought, oh ya right. Sure enough! 3 missed calls. I'm sure it was ringing.
Next:
Yesterday when I picked him up from daycare Josh (Dee at daycare's spouse) says "Hey, today when I came out with my Honor Guard stuff on Marcus said Josh you look cute!"
Josh and Dee could hardly contain themselves. I didn't even know he knew how to use that word!
He's certainly growing up fast.
Tooth count:
almost 12. He's getting his molars top and bottom.
His favorite books are:
'Toot Toot'- Froggy learns to swim
'Oat-shin' - I'm the biggest thing in the ocean
'Tooth' - The big tooth book

All Boy

Ok,

So I'm convinced, when people say the phrase "He's all boy" they are really nicely saying "your kid is CRAZY!!"

Marcus has been doing some nasty stuff lately, so I thought I would hop on the old blog and share it...

Act 1- Shadley and the kids come with us to Marcus' Dr's appt with Dr. Voss (ENT). They have a great office for kids. Lots of open space, seating and plenty of toys. I go to the restroom for 1 moment while Shadley and the kids are out in the waiting room and when I come back Marcus has someone else's kids sippy and just chugging away!!! Now, no one think that Shadley knew this because she didn't. This sippy was one of Marcus' kind and only I would have known it was NOT HIS!! NASTY!!! I took that thing away like it was hot let me tell you!

Act 2- Over email I get a message that reads:

"your son is making me a laughingstock. He just socked me one in thenose and gave me a nosebleed and then went running from me with thetoilet ring around his neck. all the kids are laughing!!"

#1- that is nasty, #2-I'm glad she can laugh at my child being so naughty.

I have my work cut out for me. Marcus really is a good little guy, he's just

"All Boy".

Alright alright, here is something new...

So Marcus can really talk these days. He's saying things like-

Mom! Mom! Hanny! When he wants me to hold his hand in the car. Which, he does on almost every trip. It sure is precious.

My other favorite is when he is asking for our keys... "Teeeees!" is what he calls them. If we try to explain they are for parents only it only ends in him being even more precious asking "peeeeessss! teeeeees!" while rubbing his chest in the baby signs motion. Then we give him the keys.

I know I'm making a monster, I just know it. But- I can't stop. It's too cute. I still share a bed with him and do whatever he wants me to. I can't stop myself. Will and I agree this is our only one until he's in college, then we might think about having more ;).
